Pump with dry running protection

The pump i.e. centrifugal pump (1), has a pump casing (2) with an inlet (3) and an outlet (4). An engine shaft (11) is in torque-proof connection with a running wheel to be arranged in the pump casing and rotatably supported in a rear wall (5) of the pump casing with a primary mechanical seal arrangement. A non-lubricated operation protection system is attached to mechanical seal arrangement, and comprises a liquid volume, which stands in connection with a side of the mechanical seal arrangement whose side faces are away from the running wheel. The pump casing is made of grey cast iron.
