The present invention relates to a light emitting diode bar array having light emitting diode bars where a light emitting diode light source is arranged in the side of a bar-shaped light guiding element, and a backlight device using the same. The LED bar array of the present invention includes a light guiding element which has a groove-shaped light source part prepared in the lower part of at least one end part; and an LED light source arranged in the light source part of the light guiding element, wherein a plurality of LED bars emitting light from the LED light source in the longitudinal direction is arranged in the LED bar array. The light guiding element has a reflection pattern in the upper light emitting surface of the light source part.
