PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image correction method that corrects a captured image by properly detecting an inclination of the image easily. SOLUTION: Edges in an image obtained by capturing a subject is extracted and straight components are extracted from the extracted edges. An inclination of straight lines whose length are equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold is computed to a known horizontal reference line of an imaging element 14.
