A reference sphere detecting device (100) used for a reference sphere position detecting device (200) comprises an optical unit (50) having a laser light source (1), a collective lens (5) for collecting light from the laser light source (1) and irradiating the light to a reference sphere (6) positioned at or near a front focal position, a first image pickup device (8) for receiving and detecting reflected light from the reference sphere (6), the first image pickup device (8) being disposed at a rear focal position of the collective lens (5); driving units (14,15) for rotationally moving the optical unit (50) about a reference point; and a control unit (60) for controlling the driving units (14, 15) on the basis of the position at which the reflected light is received and rotationally moving the optical unit (50) so that the reflected light reaches a predetermined reference position (O) of the first image pickup device (8). The reference sphere position detecting device (200) constitutes a three-dimensional-coordinate measuring device. |
