A backlight unit is provided to attach an upper area of an optical member to a support main by the medium of a double tape, thereby preventing a light guide plate from being separated to the outside. A backlight unit comprises a support main(21), a lamp(23), a light guide plate and an optical member(25). The lamp is disposed in a lower area of the support main. The light guide plate is disposed on the same plane as the lamp. The optical member is disposed on the light guide plate. An upper area of the optical member is fixed to the support main by the medium of an attaching unit(29). By the optical member attached to the support main, the light guide plate is prevented from being separated to the outside. |
