The present invention relates to an ignition coil for a car and, more particularly, to an ignition coil for a car, which can prevent start failure due to incomplete electrical contact between a high voltage terminal where high voltage is induced and a compressed spring, by comprising: a first coil which is wound on the external side of a core; a second spool which is placed in the outer circumference unit of the first coil; a second coil which is wound on the external side of the second spool; a high voltage terminal which is connected with one side of the second coil; a compressed spring which is in contact with the end of the high voltage terminal and is electrically connected with an ignition plug of an engine cylinder; and a case which stores the first and the second coils and the compressed spring. A horizontal contact unit is formed at the end of the high voltage terminal in order to be in parallel with the top end of the compressed spring and be in surface contact with the compressed spring.
