<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of efficiently discharging dusts generated from exhaust gas with temperature reduction, and an operation method thereof.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger includes: a first element in which the flow passage of exhaust gas discharged from a metal reduction treatment facility and containing a volatile component extends from an upper part to a lower part; a second element that is arranged at the rear stage of the first element, and in which the flow passage of exhaust gas extends from the lower part to the upper part; a dust collection unit that connects the first element and the second element and collects generated dusts; and a flow passage for air that flows air for cooling from the element of a last stage to the first element of a foremost stage.</p> |
