PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide driving mechanism which can easily be operated and to provide a slide device of a movable structure of a chair which can easily be operated because it is equipped with the slide driving mechanism. SOLUTION: The slide driving mechanism has a guide 4 arranged in a base 3, a slider 8 reciprocally moved being guided by the guide 4, a pulling member 9 reciprocally moved relative to the base 3 so as to reciprocally move the slider 8, an operating means 2 reciprocally moving the pulling member 9, a coupling means 11 coupling the pulling member 9 to the slider 8 when the pulling member 9 hollowly moves an unlocking distance L from a neutral position 10 relative to the slider 8, a forward direction elastic arm 12 and a rearward direction elastic arm 13 locking the slider 8 to the base 3 and biasing the pulling member 9 to the neutral position 10, and a forward direction unlocking convex part 14 and a rearward direction unlocking convex part 15 releasing the locking of each of the elastic arms 12, 13 while the pulling member 9 hollowly moves the unlocking distance L from the neutral position 10.
