[Also in Division B8] A bucket for a bucket conveyer is formed of an inner layer of polypropylene, bonded to an outer layer of synthetic resin, e.g. a polyester, phenolic or epoxy resin, reinforcedwith glass fibre. An interlayer of polyisobutylene may be provided to increase the adhesion between the inner and outer layers. The bucket is formed from a sheet of polypropylene cut to form two sides and a channel shaped portion, which parts are welded together over a frame before the resin and glass fibre are sprayed on to achieve a random arrangement of the glass fibre. |
