<p>An elevator apparatus, which can gently stop a car when causing the car normally running to make an emergency stop, and can suddenly stop the car when causing the car running with a door open to make an emergency stop, is provided. For this purpose, when the car of an elevator which is normally running is caused to make an emergency stop, a braking device is caused to generate a braking force while a deceleration of the car is controlled. Meanwhile, when a predetermined running condition with a door open of the car is determined, the braking device is caused to generate a braking force so that a stopping distance of the car becomes shorter than that in the case of causing the car which is normally running to make an emergency stop.</p> |
