The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing tolerance compensation information, which can determine cases requiring tolerance compensation and provide information by providing identifiers for two or more cameras of an around view monitoring (AVM) system of a vehicle, and an around view monitoring system using the same. The method for providing tolerance compensation information according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) recognizing identifiers respectively supplied to two or more cameras of the AVM system of the vehicle; (b) determining whether or not there is replacement of one or more cameras using the recognized identifier; and (c) providing information about necessity of tolerance compensation when it is determined that there is replacement of the camera.
