摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite film excellent in bending characteristics, density, a thermal diffusion nature, in which there is no thickness/density fluctuation, there are no cracks, depressions, and wrinkles in the surface, and excellent in a flat nature. SOLUTION: The graphite film has an MIT (R1 mm) of 100,000 times or more, a density of 1.2 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or larger, a thermal diffusivity in a surface direction of 8.5×10<SP>-4</SP>m<SP>2</SP>/s or larger. The method for manufacturing a graphite film comprises expanding a precursor film laminate, forming a graphite film laminate, and subsequently manufacturing a graphite film and includes: (1) a process which laminates a precursor film and prepares a film laminate, (2) a process which expands a precursor film laminate and forms a graphite film laminate, wherein the thickness variation defined by the ratio of the thickness of graphite laminate/the thickness of a precursor film laminate is 2.5 times or more.
