The products (excluding mycelium) of the aerobic cultivation of micro-organisms of the genus Fusarium are added to animal and poultry feeds as growth-promoters. The material may be obtained by spray-drying a mixture of the spent culture medium and malt dextrin, collecting the precipitate obtained by adding acetone or alcohol to the filtered broth or by making an aqueous extract of a solid culture medium. The specified moulds are Fusarium monoliforme, F. solani, F. splendens and F. oxysporum. |
