The present invention relates to a coating composition of rice cake, more specifically to a coating composition for rice cake which contains edible fat and oil, saccharides, and an emulsifier except for cocoa and dairy components. By coating the rice cake covered in powder using the coating composition, a user can solve problems of not having enough edibility and convenience and problems caused during mass-production at the same time, secure the original taste and shape of traditional rice cake, and offer reduced feeling of irritation for eating by adjusting the melting point.
