The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a master mold for a retro-reflector. The method includes: a first thin plate assembling step of combining a plurality of thin plates having two parallel surfaces at a certain angle; a reflection corner processing step of forming reflection corners of which the corner angle is about 90 degrees on the top surface combined in the first thin plate assembling step in a direction crossing the thin plates; a second thin plate assembling step of dissembling the thin plate assembly, turning even- or odd-number thin plates upside down, and assembling the thin plates back again in the vertical direction; and a groove processing step of forming a V-shaped groove of which two lateral sides meet the angular edge of the reflection corners at an angle of 90 degrees along the prominent part formed on the top surface of the thin plate assembly after the second thin plate assembling step. According to the manufacturing method given in the present invention, it is possible to manufacture a master mold for a retro-reflector having an up-down curve structure and mass-produce step prism-type retro-reflectors having high retro-reflection efficiency and wide retro-reflection area. |
