The applied unit for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots consists of a frame, a feed conveyer, a baffle brush, a cleaner, a finger blanked cleaner and a downloading conveyer. The cleaner is made as a cleaning unit mounted inclinedly, formed by longitudinal driving cylindrical rollers, having pairly counter-rotational movement and forming in the transversal plane a trough-shaped bed, inside of which an activator as two pairs of brushes, formed by elastic rods, is mounted from above. The driving shafts of the brushes are parallel, arranged as consoles and in perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the rollers. The console, parallel shafts of the brushes are mounted on a driving rotary hub, inside of which an additional driving shaft is mounted. It involves the driving shafts of the brushes into rotational movements around their own axles through toothed wheels. The rotary hub and an additional driving shaft rotate in different directions with varying angular speeds. The upper pair of brushes has elastic rods, which form a conic shape with vertex thereof directed upwards. |
