<p>The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing solar cell strings. The method comprises connecting at least two solar cells (1, 1′, 1″) with each other by at least one conductive ribbon (5) having a first length (L), wherein the solar cells (1, 1′, 1″) are spaced apart from each other at a string cell distance (s) until a desired number of solar cells (1, 1′, 1″) are jointly connected with each other to manufacture a first solar cell string (11); connecting another solar cell (2) with the last solar cell (1″) of the first solar cell string by at least a conductive ribbon (7) made longer than the conductive ribbon (5) having the first length (L), the second solar cell (2) spaced apart from the last solar cell (1″) at a distance (t) larger than the distance (s) of the string cell and forming a first solar cell for a second solar cell string (12); and separating the conductive ribbon (7) in order to split the first solar cell string (11). The present invention also relates to an apparatus of manufacturing solar cell strings (11, 12).
