The invention relates to the field of welding and can be used in welding austenitic steels and non-ferrous metals. In a method of gas-shielding welding the alternating current is fed on a non-fusing electrode, the second non-fusing electrode is in series connected thereto and the welding is carried out with alternating current poles on each electrode at the frequency of industrial network. Two arcs are burning between the electrodes and welded plate and current lines are concentrated on the surface of weld pool that allows to control heat and mass transfer. Use of the method will completely eliminate the permanent AC component, obtain satisfactory welds, increase welding output and simplify equipment. |
