PURPOSE: A variable intake system, a control device thereof, and a control method thereof are provided to supply linearization of acceleration booming by using the same motor as a voice-coil motor for an actuator. CONSTITUTION: A variable intake system and a control device thereof include an air cleaner main body, a valve housing, a valve assembly, and an actuator(104). The air cleaner main body is connected with a main duct and an auxiliary duct which intake the air. The valve housing is inside the air cleaner main body, and connected to the auxiliary duct. The valve assembly is comprised in the valve housing, and selectively controls the opening rate of the auxiliary duct. The actuator is installed inside the valve housing and provides drive power for the valve assembly. The actuator comprises a linear motor which is equipped with a motor shaft that performs a rectilinear motion by current which is applied to a permanent magnet.
