1,166,688. Electro-chemical analysis. L.C. VINCENT. Jan.31, 1967 [Feb. 10, 1966], No.4747/67. Heading G1N. A device for simultaneously measuring the pH, rH and conductivity of blood, moistened vegetable tissues, or other biological fluids, comprises a probe carrying a calomel electrode, a glass electrode, a platinum electrode and two conductivity measuring electrodes. The electrodes are located within a frusto-conical head of the probe, being exposed at and flush with the flat surface of the head except for the platinum electrode which protrudes slightly. The side of the head is cut away at the location of the glass electrode. A cap having a sample intake tube and an induction tube fits over the head with the end of the induction tube near the glass electrode. The probe is connected to a measuring apparatus including a pH meter, an rH meter and a conductivity meter. |
