Disclosed is a backlight unit capable of improving luminous efficiency by forming a reflection layer on the exposure surface of a printed circuit board on which a light emitting diode is mounted. The backlight unit according to the embodiment of the present invention includes: a printed circuit board; a plurality of light emitting diodes which are formed on the printed circuit board; the reflection layer which is formed on the exposure surface of the printed circuit board between the light emitting diodes; and an optical sheet layer which is separated from the light emitting diodes.
