A locomotive sanding system comprises a hopper with abrasive, air distributors, pipelines connecting nozzles with injectors. The hopper is suspended from a supporting structure (body frame, bogie frame) using special flexible or resilient elements (coil springs, leaf springs, rubber components), and as a connection between the hopper and the nozzle a rubber corrugated element is used having the possibility to compensate for movement of the hopper. |
