Disclosed is a rolling method for pipes on a pipe-rolling plant with Pilger rolling mills, in which a shell of a heated round continuously cast blank is pierced in a rotary piercer on a short mandrel, then the shell is rolled in a rough pipe by profiling rolls on the mandrel of Pilger rolling mills. At piercing the rear end of shell the short mandrel is moved in the direction opposite to axial movement of the shell increasing its inner diameter up to the diameter of middle part. Rolling the shell in the rough pipe on Pilger rolling mill is carried on the mandrel, whose diameter is determined by the expression: mmwhere- piercer mandrel diameter, mm; - rolling value of the rear end of shell on mandrel, %. |
