<p>The present invention relates to a holder assembly for a cutting tool insert (2) for machining. The holder assembly (1) includes first and second clamping member (4, 5). Each of the clamping members has inner seating surfaces which limit a middle gap (6) where the cutting tool insert can be inserted and faces each other. The clamping members can be moved to each other within at least a limited range by a clamping mechanism for clamping the cutting tool insert between the seating surfaces and firmly holding. The clamping mechanism includes towing rods (12) which are partially received in cavities formed on the clamping member. The cavities are mutually aligned and extended in the transverse direction of the middle gap. The clamping mechanism includes a compressing spring member (13) which presses the clamping members to each other for firmly clamping the cutting tool insert (2). A releasing member (22) capable of enduring a force of the spring which moves the clamping members to each other can release the clamping mechanism.</p> |
