Disclosed are an automotive head lamp and a control method thereof. The automotive head lamp according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first lamp module and a second lamp module arranged on the front side of the first lamp module. The second lamp module is set with either a first mode which is partially overlapped with the first lamp module on the progress path of light or a second mode which is not overlapped with the first lamp module.
