A liquid crystal display according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first substrate; a gate line disposed on the first substrate; and a plurality of pixels which is disposed on the first substrate and includes a first electric-field generating electrode and a second electric-field generating electrode overlapping while having an insulating film in between, wherein any one of the first electric-field generating electrode and the second electric-field electrode contains a plurality of incision portions. The plurality of incision portions includes a first portion forming a first angle with a reference line which forms 90 degrees with the gate line and a second portion forming a second angle, different from the first angle, with the reference line. A ratio of a length of the first portion for a length of the incision portion is approximately greater than or equal to 80%, and a number of the plurality of pixels is approximately greater than or equal to 200PPI. |
