A method and an apparatus for creating a 2-layered sequence are provided to deliver much more information by specifying elements which deteriorate PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) and correlation characteristics, improving associated characteristics in each of the elements, and creating a 2-layered sequence having better PAPR and correlation characteristics. An apparatus for creating a 2-layered sequence comprises a scrambling sequence selection module(702), an orthogonal sequence selection module(704) and a multiplication module(705). The scrambling sequence selection module selects the indexes of a scrambling sequence in consideration of correlation characteristics. The orthogonal sequence selection module selects the indexes of an orthogonal sequence in consideration of PAPR characteristics. The multiplication module performs multiplication between the two sequences. In addition, the apparatus includes a correlation characteristic confirmation module(701) and a PAPR characteristic confirmation module(703). The correlation characteristic confirmation module, if a usable scrambling sequence is inputted, confirms the correlation characteristics of the inputted scrambling sequence. The PAPR characteristic confirmation module also receives a usable orthogonal sequence and confirms its PAPR characteristics. |
