Provided is a liquid crystal alignment agent which has a good printability on a substrate and a good continuous printability, and is difficult to expand a printing plate. The liquid crystal alignment agent contains: at least one polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid, polyimide, polyamic acid ester, and polyorganosiloxane; a first solvent consisting at least one of N-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone, 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, and 3-methoxy-N,N-dimethyl-propionamide; and a second solvent consisting at least one of propylene glycol diacetate, diethylene glycol diethyl ether, di-isopentyl ether, and diacetone alcohol. |
