Disclosed is a content processing device using a sound. The content processing device includes a sound processing unit generating an acoustic sound for checking low quality; a speaker unit outputting the acoustic sound; a microphone unit inputted with a response sound outputted from an external device inputted with the acoustic sound; and a control unit determining the external device outputting the response sound as peripheral device. Therefore, there is no security problem by transmitting content with the sound, and convenience for a user can be improved.
