Disclosed is a screen door safety device including: a pair of elevation instruments including more than one screen door, vertically opened and closed, and an operation unit controlling the elevation of the screen door; and a sensor which senses an object located in front of or at the back of the screen door. The screen door safety device is capable of deciding whether to permit manual opening and closing of the screen door, in accordance with the existence of the sensed object, located on the front or the back of the screen door, when an external force applied to the screen door is sensed. |
