The method involves verifying whether a toll transaction (12) stored in the on-board unit (11) together with the timestamp date is longer than a given time span, based on the toll transaction between the on-board unit and the radio beacon (2-4). The acoustic signal is emitted by the on-board unit when the toll transaction is longer than given time span. The acoustic signal is not emitted by the on-board unit, when toll transaction is not longer than the given time span. The current toll transaction is stored together with the current timestamp in the on-board unit. An independent claim is included for on-board unit for signaling toll transaction in road toll system. |
