Producing asphalt, comprises (a) providing old asphalt-granules (3), (b) measuring moisture content of the provided old asphalt-granules by at least one moisture sensor (10), (c) determining a permissible feeding quantity of the old asphalt-granules depending on the measured moisture content of the old asphalt-granules, (d) supplying the permissible feeding quantity of the old asphalt-granules to a mixing device (15), and (e) mixing the supplied old asphalt-granules with raw asphalt granules in the mixing device. An independent claim is also included for a plant for producing asphalt, comprising (i) storage container for old asphalt-granules having the moisture sensor for measuring moisture content of the old asphalt-granules, (ii) mixing device for mixing raw asphalt granules with the old asphalt-granules, and (iii) a supplying unit for supplying permissible, feeding quantity of old asphalt-granules from the storage container to the mixing device, determined depending on the measured moisture content of the old asphalt-granules. |
