PURPOSE: A furnace stave cooler detection unit and a furnace stave cooler monitoring device are provided to enhance reliability according to wear detection and to accurately measure wearing state of the stave cooler. CONSTITUTION: A furnace stave cooler detection unit comprises a supply tube (23), a stave cooler main body (22), a discharge pipe (24), and a detector (31). A water jacket part is prepared inside the stave cooler main body for furnace cooling. The supply tube supplies cooling water to the water jacket part by being combined with the stave cooler main body. The discharge pipe ejects cooling water of the water jacket part. The detector irradiates front side of the stave cooler with ultrasound or electromagnetic wave in order to measure the thickness of the stave cooler. |
