The present invention relates to a method for designing the rooms of a ship. The method comprises the steps of: setting data on standard rooms; storing different types of standard rooms according to the data to build a standard room database; receiving data on a room to be designed from a user; searching for a type of a standard room having data corresponding to the data on a room to be designed from the standard room database; and providing the user with the searched type of a standard room in a form of the room to be designed. As the method for designing the rooms of a ship according to the present invention comprises a step of building a standard room database according to data on rooms, the inconvenience of newly designing rooms can be removed. In addition, the positions of objects in a room automatically change according to changes to the size of the room, thereby reducing time for designing a room and improving work efficiency.
