METHOD FOR CONTROLLING START MOTOR OF VEHICLE HAVING DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for controlling an operation of a start motor and a method for controlling the same when starting a vehicle having a dual mass flywheel. Reference value of an engine RPM which is a reference of a start motor operation is elastically applied when dissolving and re-operating an operation of the start motor. The dual mass flywheel improves noise vibration characteristic generated by a secondary cranking of the start motor, and increases starting performance of the start motor. The present disclosure includes the steps of: confirming the engine RPM when starting the start motor; comparing values of the confirmed engine RPM with total values which add a predetermined reference value of the engine RPM to a predetermined hysteresis up value; dissolving an operation of the start motor in the case where values of the present engine RPM is larger than total values which add a reference value of the engine RPM to a hysteresis up value; and comparing values of the present engine RPM with total values which add a predetermined reference value of the engine RPM to a predetermined hysteresis up value when a start process is not stopped.
