PURPOSE: A passenger airbag system for a vehicle is provided to prevent an air bag cushion from pressing children's head by discharging gas to the outside through a vent hole. CONSTITUTION: A passenger airbag system for a vehicle comprises an air bag cushion(10), upper and lower external tethers(30,40), upper and lower sewed portions(32,42), and a pressure controller. The air bag cushion is deployed by the gas emitted from the inflator. The upper and lower external tethers are combined with the retainer through a fixing hole(34). The upper sewed portion is sewed with one side of the main panel and the upper external tether. The lower sewed portion is sewed with the other end of the main panel. |
