The device (10) has a fuel tank (15) including an envelope with a bottom (21) extending in elevation to an upper wall (22). An inflatable bag (25) provides a variable slope (30) at the bottom of the tank for directing a fuel to a predetermined area (100) of the fuel tank by gravity. The fuel tank includes an inflating/deflating unit (35) for inflating/deflating each bag for adjusting the inclination of the slope. A volume measurement unit measures the volume of the fuel in the tank, where the inclination of the slope is adjusted according to the volume of the fuel. An independent claim is also included for a method for storage of fuel in a storage device.
