摘要 A 2-channel illuminance detecting device and a method thereof are disclosed. The illuminance detecting device according to an embodiment of the invention includes a first light receiving part outputting an electric signal by receiving incident light including an infrared band and a visible ray ban outputted from a light source, a second light receiving part outputting an electric signal by receiving light of the visible ray band in the incident light, and a signal processing part obtaining an illuminance value about the incident light based on the electric signal outputted from the first and second light receiving parts. The signal processing part compensates a deviation of the illuminance value about the light source by using the electric signal outputted from the first and second light receiving parts and illuminance compensation modeling generated by the electric signals of the first and second light receiving parts. The signal processing part also obtains the same illuminance value at the same illuminance even if types of light sources are different by obtaining the illuminance value about the incident light through the deviation of the illuminance value about the light source and improves the performance of an electronic device and the performance of the illuminance detecting device.
