The present invention relates to a system for providing parking position information using visible light communications, including a plurality of access points which are installed at every parking zone in a parking lot, and transmit information on the parking zone to an SMS server through a mobile communications network, and receive information on a telephone number of a mobile phone through visible light communications with the mobile phone and transmit the telephone number to the SMS server through the mobile communications network when the mobile phone transmits the information on its own telephone number by a visible light after an application is driven. The SMS server can transmit the information on the parking zone received from the access points through an SMS to a mobile phone corresponding to the information on the telephone number received from the access point. According to the present invention, the system can solve inconvenience of inputting telephone number information by enabling a driver to input his or her telephone number information through the visible light communications of his or her mobile phone; can be applied to almost all parking lots where a parking zone is selected by a driver; and can perform the visible light communications just by controlling the light and shade of a display part of the mobile phone without requiring a separate device.
