The present invention relates to a system and method for preventing external leakage of information by sensing changes in storage medium sectors and deleting change information recorded in a storage medium, if the storage medium is carried in or out. A system for preventing leakage of data on a storage medium by sensing changes in storage medium sectors comprises: a sector change analyzing unit for sensing changes in storage medium sectors and transmitting sector change information; a change information storage and management unit for receiving and transmitting the sector change information; a file change analyzing unit for receiving the sector change information and analyzing and storing the file change information of the storage medium; and a data deleting unit for deleting change information using the sector change information and the file change information. Thus, it is possible to prevent the leakage of the information on the storage medium without depending on an operating system, quickly sense a change history, and prevent an intelligent data leaking method.
