The present invention relates to a method for inspecting and replacing insulating gas of a pad-mounted switchgear, and more specifically, to a method for inspecting and replacing insulating gas of the pad-mounted switchgear under a live line condition by repetitively collecting and charging insulating gas (SF_6) of the pad-mounted switchgear to replace abnormal gas with normal gas so that the volume of the gas in the pad-mounted switchgear reaches about 130% under a live-line condition. According to the invention, it is possible to save time and costs required for inspecting and replacing insulating gas of a pad-mounted switchgear under a live line condition and reduce environmental pollution by repetitively collecting and charging insulating gas (SF_6) of the pad-mounted switchgear to replace abnormal gas with normal gas so that the volume of the gas in the pad-mounted switchgear reaches about 130% under the live-line condition.
