<p>The present invention provides a rotary electric machine and a method for manufacturing the rotary electric machine such that insulating members can be easily installed between coil ends of different phases, thereby securing insulation in coil end groups and allowing small size, high voltage, and high output power to be achieved at the same time. First coil end rows are arranged in four layers in the radial direction to configure a first coil end group (21a), each of said first coil end rows being formed by arranging first coil ends (22c), which extend on one axial end side of an armature core (11) from a pair of slots, along one slot pitch in the circumferential direction. Second coil end rows are arranged in three layers in the radial direction to configure a second coil end group (21b), each of said second coil end rows being formed by arranging second coil ends (22c), which extend on the other axial end side of the armature core (11) from the pair of slots, along one slot pitch in the circumferential direction. Cylindrical first insulating paper (25a) is placed within the first coil end rows and within the second coil end rows, and cylindrical second insulating paper (25b) is placed between the first coil end rows and between the second coil end rows.</p> |
