An electrically conductive cored fibreglass reinforced plastic pipe (10) is formed by laminating an inner and outer layers of fibreglass (31) each of which has spaced strands of electrically conducting material (16/17), such as carbon fibre, supported by and exposed at both sides of the respective layers (30) and (31) so as to provide electrically conductive paths through the laminated fibreglass. The interposed core (20) is provided with regularly spaced apart electrically conductive strands (27), also suitably of carbon fibre, passing therethrough so as to lie in operative electrical connection with the electrically conductive material in the inner layer (31) of laminated fibreglass and the outer layer (30) of laminated fibreglass.
