PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for suspension capable of preventing outflow of an adhesive agent when connecting an actuator element by the adhesive agent, so as to improve connection reliability.SOLUTION: A substrate for suspension 1 includes: a first element connection area 3a connected to one electrode 44a of an extensible actuator element 44 for deviating a mounted head slider 52 through a conductive adhesive agent 48; and a second element connection area 3b connected to the other electrode 44a of the actuator element 44 through the conductive adhesive agent 48. An engaging part 80 for engaging the conductive adhesive agent 48 connected to element connection terminals 16a, 16b is formed at least one of the first element connection area 3a and the second element connection area 3b.
