PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a rotating body and prevent fixation of fouling.SOLUTION: A cleaning unit (11) includes: a first cleaning member (26) in contact with a surface of a rotating body (T2e) to remove fouling on the rotating body (T2e) in contact with an image holding body (B); moving members (27-31) for movably supporting the first cleaning member (26) in a direction so as to come into contact with or to separate from the surface of the rotating body (T2e); and a second cleaning member (21) which is arranged downstream of the first cleaning member (26) in a rotation direction of the rotating body (T2e) to remove the fouling in contact with the surface of the rotating body (T2e), and removes the fouling (43) deposited on the surface of the rotating body (T2e) when the first cleaning member (26) is separated, before the surface of the rotating body (T2e) with the fouling (43) comes into contact with the image holding body (B). |
