PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power measuring device capable of measuring power consumption of an electrical appliance which is not connected to an outlet of the electric power measuring device.SOLUTION: The electric power measuring device includes: a plug which can be connected to a first outlet; a second outlet which can be connected to a plug of a first electrical appliance; an electric power line for connecting the plug to the second outlet; a voltage measurement circuit for measuring a voltage applied between the electric power lines; a current measurement circuit for measuring a current; a connector which can be connected to a detection circuit disposed outside for detecting a current flowing in a second electrical appliance; an electrical connection between the current measurement circuit and the electrical power line in the event of measurement of a current flowing in the first electrical appliance connected to the second outlet; and a change-over switch capable of switching an electrical connection between the detection circuit and the current measurement circuit via the connector in the event of measurement of a current flowing in the second electrical appliance connected to a third outlet.
