PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of eliminating complicated operation for setting (authentication) so-called pairing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a radio communication unit 16 that receives data from a portable telephone 2; and a reader/writer 15 that transmits an address of the radio communication unit 16 to the portable telephone 2. The portable telephone 2 includes a contact/non-contact IC card 26 that receives the address, and a radio communication unit 27 that transmits image data to the radio communication unit 16 by using the address. In communication between the portable telephone 2 and the image forming apparatus 1, the address of the radio communication unit 16 is transmitted to the contact/non-contact IC card 26 through the reader/writer 15, and the radio communication unit 27 transmits data to the radio communication unit 16 by using the address.
