The method involves winding electrical strip conductor (4) on a surface of a support (2). The electrical strip conductor is twisted during winding. The continuous recess is provided in the interior of a supporting hollow portion. The strip conductors are inserted from outside of the support during the winding of the hollow portion. The electrical strip conductor is covered with a high temperature superconductor material. A twist of the strip conductor is provided during the winding of a coil (1) between deflection roller and a pressure roller. An independent claim is included for an electrical coil.
