PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorption type heat pump system and a cold generating method which are capable of efficiently and continuously producing cold energy.SOLUTION: A heat pump 12 includes an evaporator 14, an adsorber 16, and a heat storage reactor 18. The heat storage reactor 18 stores thermal energy and radiates thermal energy equal to or more than the evaporative latent heat of a heating medium to the adsorber 16, thereby regenerating the adsorber 16 due to temperature rise of the adsorber 16 to or above a regeneration temperature. |
