PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of providing an intravascular device 120 having a distal portion and a longitudinal axis and inserting the intravascular device into a vascular lumen 106. The method further includes the steps of positioning the distal portion in vascular walls 105 and 107, rotating the intravascular device about the longitudinal axis, and advancing the intravascular device within the vascular walls. |
